What is Iro de Check?
Iro de Check (literally: checking with colors) is a user-friendly program that using color to check translations. It has been designed as a Microsoft Word™ add-in and is primarily a tool to help check documents in MS-Word, Text file, or MS-PowerPoint format. It can also be used to create translation-related assets for future use.
Iro de Check was created by Junya Nitta, a translator, programmer, and Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Word, in close collaboration with a number of Japanese translation agencies and patent offices. The program is packed with useful features that speed up the checking process, improve the quality of the translation, and reduce costs.
Iro de Check is easy to master, making it the perfect tool for those with no previous computer-assisted translation (CAT) experience. And because the Iro de Check does the grunt work for you, you can say “goodbye!” to peering at your screen, reduce eye strain and stress!
Iro de Check can be used to check any translation, regardless of the process used to produce the translation. With Iro de Check, users create a table in MS-Word to compare the original text and translated text and you can then use this table as the basis for creating a translation memory or translation database.
